Your computer makes color with red, green and blue light. It is a phenomenon of light that when these colors mix they make more colors. At full intensity, red and green make yellow, red and blue make magenta, blue and green make cyan—and all three make pure white!

Like a room light on a dimmer switch, the intensity of each light can vary from full to off. Each variation yields a new color. Watch the colors that form, especially in the intersections, as the lights of this animation fade and brighten.
