Spotlight on Water!
The sea contains and reflects so many colors but our focus here is on azure, aquamarine, and all shades of turquoise. Each color produces certain emitions within us and azure and turquoise are hues that will nearly always bring a smile—they often make us feel uplifed, light-headed and even giddy. Summer here we come!
Giddiness has been known to occur when a person suddenly comes upon this color. The word’s origins, gidy, states that 'mad' or unstable, and even 'possessed by God' are terms associated with Giddy. Summer is upon us, so wear this color boldly.
- Find a huge floppy hat, or a pair of strappy sandals.
- Pair with any shade in the purple family, but try it with peach to enhance the warm feeling it produces.
- Put on turquoise and azure jewelry (or clothes with these accents), try it on your walls.
- Explore the expansion this color brings, cooling and open. Above all go out and look at the sea!
- Traditionally this shade of blue opens the 5th Chakra, your throat area, seat of Creativity.
